The Role of Wisdom and Intellect in Happiness Within The Islamic Education and Training System

This study aims to investigate the effect of wisdom and intellect, as one of the most pivotal abilities to create internal happiness, from the viewpoint of Quran verses and Hadith so that educational systems could focus on the improvement and amelioration of this ability to foster a happy and content person.

This thesis uses the interpretation of religious contents including the Quran and hadith as the procedure.

According to the performed analysis of Quran and hadith, wisdom, as the most prominent capacity and talent of human beings, is a combination of cognitive, moral, spiritual, emotional, devotional, physical, current and kinetic, tactic and problem-solving abilities as well as the ability to make a subsistence and enjoy the life. Therefore, fostering this capacity plays an important role in rearing an internally satisfied person.

Educational systems, including family, schools, and universities should adopt regulations and standards to foster a satisfied, strong, and powerful person. Moreover, they should concentrate on cognitive, moral, spiritual, emotional, devotional, physical, current and kinetic, tactic and problem-solving abilities et al. abilities to bring up a worldly and hereafter satisfied person.
