Prediction Death Anxiety Based on Incompatible Domains of Personality among Students in Amol Institute of Higher Education
Death is one of the most basic life issues that affects the thoughts, feelings, and behavior of the individual. Confrontation with death and anxiety due to its inevitability is a universal psychological quality for all human beings. The present study was conducted aiming to predict Death anxiety based on incompatible domains of personality among students.
This descriptive study was performed on 146 students referring to a selected students studying at Amol Institute of Higher Education in the 2018-2019 academic year. The death anxiety questionnaire and a short version of the DSM-5 Personality Questionnaire (PID-5) were used as a data collection tool. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean ± standard deviation), Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression analysis.
There was a positive and significant correlation between Negative affective and Disinhibition with death anxiety. The results of multiple regression analysis at the level (0.011) showed that among the negative predictive variables, negative affective could explain death anxiety.
Discussion and Conclusion:
According to research findings, it can be said that the rate of death anxiety can affect incompatible domains of personality.
