Explaining the Relationship between Organizational Memory and Organizational Agility
Due to the environmental changes on many aspects of the organization, organizations must adapt themselves to environmental changes using appropriate strategies. One of the best ways to deal with environmental changes is to lead the organization towards agility. One of the ways of organization's agility is the formation of organizational memory. Organizational memory in the military (police) field is aimed at influencing the implementation of missions in the field of order and security. The purpose of this research is applied one and in terms of collecting data, is descriptive and correlational one. The statistical population of the study consists of all employees of Shahr-e-kord police forces, of which 92 were selected according to Cochran formula. The data gathering tool was a questionnaire. The reliability of this study was calculated for organizational memory questionnaire (0.74) and for organizational agility (0.66) using Cronbach's alpha method. For data analysis, t-test and correlation were used. Findings of this study showed that there is a meaningful relationship between organizational memory and organizational agility and organizational consistency, organizational competence, organizational flexibility and organizational speed of Shahr-e-Kord police forces can be achieved by using Organizational memory.
