Investigating the causes of alcohol consumption among youth in Farokhshahr

he present study has examined the reasons of prevalence of alcohol consumption among youth in Farokhshahr. The research design was descriptive which was done with practical purposes and surveying method. The statistical population includes all youth in Farokhshahr city and among them the 384 youth between 20 to 30 years old were selected based on Cocra formula and by step-wise sampling from different districts in Farokhshahr city. In order to collecting data the questionnaire which its reliability of content was confirmed by specialists was used and in sequence the Reliability of 94%, 93%, 84%, 92% were obtained for questions of level, tendency, reasons and strategies to confront. The data which was Collected by questionnaire ,t-test ,Regression and Freidman test was analyzed and the result showed that level of tendency of youth in Farokhshahr to alcohol consumption and prevalence of consumption is lower than average. Also results showed that weakness in beliefs and religious attitudes and deprivation of healthy life skills training at school and university regarding consequences of alcohol consumption are most important factors for prevalence of alcohol consumption. In addition results showed that preparation of films and social documentaries or suitable books to show consequences of alcohol consumption are as an important strategy to confront the prevalence of alcohol consumption among youth in Farokhshahr
