Abstract:
This paper discusses the impact of sanctions imposed by the US, the UN Security Council and the European Union on the lranian industrial technological changes. In this regard, at first, the sanctions imposed by the above three on six common fields (energy, banking affairs, petrochemicals, insurance, shipping and transportation) are being partly extracted in terms of quantity by the use of Principle Component Analysis approach. Then, by contribution of the data and statistics relevant to the estate industry 2_digit lSlC code and adding the sanctions variable, we estimate the model of this study by the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM). The result demonstrates that based on the existing data, on the one hand, imposing these sanctions has increased the benefit of the whole production of nonmetal mineral industries (26) and official and accounting machineries (30) and, on the other hand, sanctions' influence has a reversed result on technological changes of the production of tobacco and cigarette (16) and vehicles, trailers and mini trailers (34).
