The study of the process of preparing structural-strategic plans and comparative study of the content of the master plan and structural-strategic plan

An increase in the trend of urbanization, which today has become a problem for developing countries such as Iran, Special attention is paid to the development of an optimal model of urban development projects. Comprehensive urban plan that outlines the key principles specified in the development of the city in the past, Now they have lost the effectiveness of facing new developments in cities and citizens. On the other hand, over the last few decades, globally, urban planning has promoted a range of applied methods and techniques to the level of interdisciplinary knowledge, which has a close relationship with philosophical theories and social sciences. The main objective of this paper is to review the process of preparing structural-strategic plans and study the comparative and comparative content of the master plan and structural-strategic design. The research method in this article is descriptive-analytical and the research has been carried out using documentary studies, review of global texts and findings from the study of the objective and physical-spatial results of comprehensive urban plans. The results show that the model of the master plan, due to the fundamental defects in theoretical foundations and in the field of urban development, is lacking in efficiency and adequacy to guide the development of urban development.
