Evaluation of anti-narcotics prevention plans

According to the statistics of official authorities, among the types of social anomalies in Kermanshah province, drug crimes have the highest rate. The police's preventive criminal policy seeks to reduce crime in the area through the implementation of drug crime prevention schemes. This issue led the researchers of the present study to evaluate these plans and programs in a scientific way, while reviewing police measures and plans to prevent this crime..

The present study is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of qualitative method, which has been done by qualitative content analysis. Participants in the present study are experts, officials and law enforcement experts of the Kermanshah Anti-Narcotics and Prevention Police. In terms of validity, the research data is based on the quotations of the respondents. The research data were analyzed by inductive analytical method after collection.

In the needs assessment phase of drug crime prevention plans, the current criteria for the implementation of the plans is public dissatisfaction and police detection. Also, in the evaluation phase of the implementation process, they emphasized on coordination and cooperation with other institutions in a constructive and effective way. In evaluating the effectiveness, it was found that the efforts made are not enough and solving this problem requires national and provincial will.
