Assessing urban regeneration with public participation in the old context of border cities (case study of region 4 of Urmia city)
Reconstruction in the central and dilapidated parts of the city is a comprehensive and integrated effort and practice to bring to life the declining tissues and areas. Today, the old fabric of cities has been severely dominated by unwanted developments due to increased construction and dependence on vehicles. This issue has caused many problems in urban issues. Accordingly, functional-physical examination of old tissues is necessary in order to achieve the optimal strategy. Now the purpose of this research is to achieve a strategic model in order to solve the problems of the old texture of Urmia. The research method is descriptive-analytical and applied and the internal and external points affecting the range with field dynamics have been identified. Weight SWOT model is used to analyze the data. Findings show that internal factors, despite 9 strengths and 12 weaknesses, indicate that the level of vulnerability is in the high range. In the case of external factors, the existence of 9 opportunities versus 6 threats to some extent indicates the open development horizons of the progress of the study area. As a result of the strategies of being equipped with different housing facilities, lack of proper access to urban equipment in the main thoroughfares, location of cultural services in the area of communication around the area, lack of laws related to the type of building facades used are the most important strategies for recreation They are the old part of Urmia city.
