Abstract:

Today, terrorism is considered as a dynamic and multifaceted phenomenon as a serious threat to world order, states and the security of citizens. Suicide terrorism is basically the most aggressive form of modern terrorism and is considered as a unique terrorist strategy that is different from other terrorist activities. The present article tries to use the theoretical foundations of situational crime prevention to address the distinction between suicide terrorism based on the type of attack, type of target, type of weapon and type of terrorist organization, with other forms of terrorism (non-suicide) that between What happened 1981 and 2017? Data analysis was performed using Stata statistical software program version 14.2 and Chi-Pearson chi-square test was performed for variable analysis. Bivariate and multivariate analysis shows that suicide terrorism compared to its non-suicide type includes bombing and explosion as a type of attack, explosives as a weapon, military-security forces as a target and by terrorist organizations with tendencies Religious ideology is done.
