Applying the principles of good governance in overcoming the challenges of fighting corruption in Iran
The purpose of this article is to examine the application of governance principles in overcoming the challenges of fighting corruption in Iran. Illegal use of government or public position, facilities and resources to gain benefits for oneself or another, directly or indirectly, is called corruption. Fighting corruption is one of the governing policy priorities in Iran. In the framework of the fifth and sixth development plans of the country, and especially in the eleventh and twelfth governments, by using more information technology, implementing e-government and expanding the bandwidth of Internet access in the country, the government tried to increase transparency and accountability. Reduce corruption in the bureaucracy. Nevertheless, fundamental challenges to the fight against corruption remain. Accordingly, the main question of this study is, what are the challenges of fighting corruption in Iran and can the theory of good governance be used as a model to overcome the challenges of corruption? The main hypothesis of the article is that the challenges of fighting corruption in Iran can be identified in four areas: legislative, executive and judicial, and in this regard, by applying the principles of good governance as an effective model can be promoted and improved. Components such as accountability, transparency, rule of law, participation,accountability,etc.achieved the health of the administrative system as much as possible and enriched the ties between the government and the nation.
