Factors Analysis of Driving Accidents in the Main Axis of Semnan Province
The Tehran-Mashhad axis is one of the busiest highways in the country, welcoming many domestic and international vehicles every year. Semnan province, which is the longest route of this highway, is one of the main arteries of this highway. Due to the flatness of the road and the absence of specific geometrical fractures (such as mountain paths), high-speed twists and turns, the road continues to experience relatively high casualties, deaths and injuries. Any disruption to the psyche of traffic on this route will disrupt the entire route, so road accident analysis is essential to understand the effective factors and their severity. In this study, we tried to provide answers to 8 common questions of traffic studies based on information from 95 to 97 years. For this purpose, the highway was divided into two routes north and south on 16 axes. The results of this study showed that only road factors such as geometrical shape and arches or environmental factors such as highway lighting alone could not cause an accident or death in this particular direction. Semnan- Damghan axis is the most dangerous axis in both north and south directions and the development of accident data can lead to better analysis and decision-making in future studies
