Sustainable work
The direct relationship between work and the richness of human life goes beyond common economic concepts. The quality of work is an important factor in ensuring the positive impact of work on development. Some jobs, such as child labor, forced labor, and the labor force involved in trafficking, severely undermine development. All of this needs to be addressed more and more in the world of work, which is undergoing rapid change under the influence of globalization and the technological revolution. Moving towards a sustainable work path is an unpleasant necessity. If we fail to lead this movement, passive human capabilities will be catastrophic in present and future generations. Sustainable work must be distinguished from other types of work because this type of work not only enhances development, but also as a key component of sustainable development reduces the negative side effects and unintended consequences of jobs. This type of work expands employment opportunities for the present generation without limiting it to future generations. Strengthening development through work requires the formulation of policies and strategies in three areas: creating job opportunities, ensuring the welfare of workers, and carrying out targeted actions and interventions.
