The relationship between quality of life and aggression and anxiety

Quality of life indicates the level of satisfaction or dissatisfaction of people from different dimensions at each stage of life. Considering that quality of life may be affected by different variables, in this study, we seek to investigate the relationship between aggression and quality of life anxiety. The present study was a descriptive cross-sectional study. The statistical population of the study was all students of the Faculty of Humanities of Lahijan Azad University in the academic year (96-97). Based on Morgan and Krejcy table, 400 students were selected by simple random sampling as a research sample. Data were collected using SF-36 quality of life questionnaire, aggression (AGQ) and Spielberger's anxiety trap questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests, Pearson correlation and stepwise regression. The results of this study showed that there is a negative and significant relationship between aggression and anxiety with quality of life in students. Correlation coefficient between quality of life and aggression-R = -0.76 and quality of life and anxiety were -0.51. The results of stepwise regression showed that aggression and anxiety can explain 0.63 of variance in quality of life. Given that students often face more anxiety, this can in turn affect their quality of life. As a result, timely and appropriate diagnosis and treatment can lead to psychological improvement and, in turn, improve the quality of life in the students.
