Locating police stations with the fastest access to crime scenes in Rasht metropolis
Rapid urbanization has occurred in most developing countries. Increasing this could increase urban problems, including crime. Police force as one of the most important urban organizations, protects the security and moral well-being of society. Investigating crimes and finding places of mass crime makes this organization able to perform its duties well. The presence of police forces in these areas can reduce crime and increase security. Increasing the processing power of electronic systems has led to an analysis of data at high speed and high accuracy, and helps administrators in the process of decision-making. In this research, data are urban crimes. Designed system can detect crime locations after information processing and inform managers about the results. To find the crime areas, urban information from the geographic information systems must be received and then crime scenes are detected with the location data. In this study, Fuzzy AHP method and the fuzzy clustering method was used to determine the weight of the crime, and to find the locations of the police station, respectively. The results showed that fuzzy clustering has better performance than other clustering methods. Selection of police station deployment centers, identification of supporting stations are the benefits of this clustering
