US foreign policy in East Asia with emphasis on India and China
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Chinese leaders sought to enter a new phase of their global position by expanding trade and economic cooperation with other countries, but China's economic rise, according to US politicians, could be seen as a threat to its economic power.
