Effectiveness of intimacy education with an Islamic approach on cognitive flexibility and the meaning of couples living in the contractor referred to Bushehr city counseling centers
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of intimacy education with an Islamic approach on cognitive flexibility and the meaning of couples living in the stage of the marriage referring to Bushehr city counseling centers in 1399. The present study was a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test design with control group and the statistical population of the present study. 1225 couples were referred to the counseling centers of Bushehr city, among which 15 couples were voluntary selected and after matching subjects, Entry and exit criteria were randomly assigned between two experimental and control groups. The experimental group received training after the pre-test for 8 sessions of 90 minutes (each week of a meeting); But the control group did not receive any training after pre-test. The instrument of this research was the meaning of life questionnaire (2006) and cognitive flexibility of Denis and Vandrol (2010). Data were analyzed using covariance analysis and SPSS 24 software. The findings showed that education of intimacy with an Islamic approach increased each of the components of life meaning, meaning in life and search for meaning in the subjects in the experimental group compared to the control group. Also, the training of intimacy with the Islamic approach increased each of the components of cognitive flexibility, ie perception, perception of controllability and perception of behavioral behavior in the experimental group compared with the control group.
