Length-weight and length-length relationships and condition factor of Alburnus chalcoides (Güldenstädt, 1772) populations from rivers of the southern Caspian Sea

During 2006-2007, to estimate the length-weight and fork-total length relationships, growth pattern and condition factor of Alburnus chalcoides, a total of 170 specimens were collected from the Chelvand, Khalehsara, Siahdarvishan, Sefid, Pol, Tonekabon and Babol rivers. The length-weight relationship were estimated using W = aLb, length-length relationship by FL= a+ bTL and condition factor by K = (W/Lb) ×100 Formulae. The b-value was 2.5 to 3.25. Also, except Sefid and Babool rivers populations, others showed positive allometric growth pattern. Condition factor were calculated 0.72 to 0.96.
