Evaluation of the correlation between speed repetition ability test (RSA) and Wingate test in estimating wrestlers' anaerobic capacity
This study was performed to investigate the correlation between the repetitive activity test (RSA) and the 30 second Wingate test in measuring the anaerobic capacity of wrestlers and the possibility of their replacement.
The subjects included 20 wrestlers of Kharazmi University (height 174.13 ± 5.5 cm, weight 77.05 48 5.48 kg, age 25.43 6 6.11 years, body fat 10.39 3 3.11% and BMI / 63). For this purpose, the maximum, minimum and average power and fatigue index of performing the Wingate test and the ability to repeat the activity of speed (walking a distance of 20 meters with 20-second rest intervals in 12 turns) were calculated and the amount of lactate and blood was measured later. It was measured 2 minutes after performing both tests. Pearson correlation coefficient was used to evaluate the correlation between power indices and physiological indices (blood lactate).
The results showed that there was a significant correlation between the maximum, mean and minimum power obtained from the Rapid Repeat Activity (RSA) test and the Wingate test (r = 0.81p = 0.002, r = 0.78p = 0.003, r = 0.83p = 0.001) but there was no correlation between the fatigue index of the two tests (r = 0.013, p = 0.746). /15 and 13.8 mmol / l) no difference was observed (p = 0.382).
