The Relationship between Political Intelligence and Organizational Virtuousness with the mediating role of Transformational Leadership in employees of the Ports and Maritime Organization (Case study: Amirabad Port Special Economic Zone)
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between political intelligence and organizational virtuousness with the mediating role of transformational leadership in employees of the Ports and Maritime Organization. The research applied in terms of purpose and method was descriptive, correlational one. The statistical population of this study included 483 Staff of Amirabad Ports and Maritime Organization. The statistical sample was 214 participants that determined by the using Krejcy and Morgan table, and selected by stratified random sampling according to gender. Data were gathered by using three Questionnaires of Dostdar et al political intelligence (2016), Cameron et al organizational virtuousness (2004) & Bass & Avolio (2000) transformational leadership Questionnaires. Their reliability was calculated to 0.86, 0.85 and 0.87 respectively by the use of Cronbach Alpha. The collected data was used for analyzed by Structural equation modeling using the partial least squares method (PLS). The results of this study showed that there is a significant relationship between political intelligence and organizational virtuousness with transformational leadership. 44.8% of transformational leadership and 65.9% of organizational virtuousness is explained by political intelligence. And the transformational leadership variable has a mediator effect on the relationship between political intelligence and organizational virtuousness. Fit indices indicate that the proposed model is an appropriate fit.
