Investigation and Analysis of the factors affecting street harassment of women in Boushehr and its situational prevention strategies

Street harassment, increasing social insecurity and fear in society reduce individual freedom and the participation of women for social jobs. The aim of this study was to investigate and analyze the determinants of street harassment of women in Bushehr and is situational prevention solutions. The population of this study were 400 victims and offenders street harassment during eight months of 1394 form a total of 50 out of the victims and 50 of gang For example, using probability sampling selection was stratified. The findings suggest that street harassment is affected by causes such as: 1. environmental factors (migration and urbanization and suburbanization, population changes, poor design and space environment without protection) 2-cultural factors (Open communication and media collective; spread the culture of nudity; a lack of belief in social norms), 3-increasing levels of mobile social networks and satellite networks to promote Western models (4) the ineffectiveness of the criminal policy (lack of effective laws and regulations, ineffective penalties available; lack of suitable situational prevention methods) 5. The time and place of the occurrence of physical harassment in the ranks of the service, in public transport, in the weekly markets of harassment in crowded places and in the evening 6-factors (unknown person among strangers, intruders street social status; concealment and lack of indictments, the type of clothing and grooming, as well as the treatment of women; the marriage and alcohol) in the incidence of street harassment have major effects and is approved by both groups.
