Modelling Area of Innovation for University of Tehran to become an entrepreneurial university

The innovation economy is proving to be a huge disruptor and opportunity for cities and businesses. Cities around the world are seeking to accommodate the needs of a new generation of technology powered industries and firms, whose innovation model depends on proximity and whose talent pool explicitly prefer urban locations and lifestyles and As a new generation of entrepreneurial university with social responsibility has emerged recently, role of universities in the formation of learning regions and fulfillment of knowledge economy is vitally recognized. This research was done by qualitative method so that 10 best practices of innovation districts in the world were firstly investigated and then several interviews with experts of innovation context in Iran were leaded, Finally by coding the gathered data from investigating cases and interviews, a conceptual model was designed consisting of these nine elements :Governance-Policy,Supervising and management, innovation districts functions, innovation district features,Barries of developing innovation district, clusters, players, Communications, financing, commercializing .
