Investigating the Social Security Situation of Women in the Crowded Sidewalks of Ardabil
Pedestrians are one of the most important urban spaces and having safe urban spaces is one of the most important aspects of development. Due to their vulnerability, women need special facilities from space to be able to feel safe in urban spaces. This study was conducted to investigate the social security of women on busy sidewalks in Ardabil.
This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical based on the method of data collection. The statistical population of the study consisted of women in Ardabil and 384 people were randomly selected. Data were collected using a valid and reliable questionnaire (Cronbach's alpha 0.78) and analyzed using SPSS software using COPRAS model in Excel software.
The study showed that the average of the total level of social security of the studied sidewalks is equal to (3.39) which indicates the average level of social security; The highest average is related to the access index (4.87) and the lowest average is related to the safety and security index (2.902). Also, in terms of women's social security indicators, the sidewalks of Shariati Square are in the best condition and the new sidewalks in the square and the market are in the most unfavorable condition with equal points.
