The role of neighborhoodism in achieving the characteristics of good governance (Case study: Social councils of Mashhad neighborhoods)
The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of neighborhoodism in achieving the indicators of good governance in social councils of Mashhad neighborhoods. In this regard, the principles of "good governance" and "administrative decentralization" have been selected as theoretical foundations. In terms of methodology, part of the research has been done by referring to the available data and library resources, and the other part has been done by using the interview method. In conducting the interviews, individuals related to the social councils of Mashhad neighborhoods, including members of these councils and officials related to them, were the study community. Findings show that social councils of Mashhad neighborhoods are related to five indicators of good governance, namely: "participation", "effectiveness and efficiency", "accountability", "transparency" and "rule of law" and are effective in achieving those indicators. . However, in the current situation, the challenges of neighborhood councils in achieving these indicators are more than twice their opportunities
