Ride Quality & Passenger Comfort in Commercial Aircraft During Formation Flight
One of the technologies that has recently been used experimentally is the group flight of bird-style passenger aircraft. Airlines are constantly innovating to improve the efficiency of their aircraft. Faster transfer of passengers and cargo to destinations and less fuel consumption are the main concerns of these companies. Flying in a group and with arrangement (as birds do instinctively) has advantages such as reducing drag force and energy consumption. The effects of aerodynamic interference due to formation flight and its related problem have aroused great interest in research in this field. One of the concerns related to formation flight is passenger comfort along with safety due to the long distance. Things like sensor design and structural fatigue are also important in these flights. In this article, the aim is to investigate the comfort of passengers in formation flight and uncertainty conditions.
