Qualitative and quantitative analysis of digital family lifestyle in Tehran (future research)

Abstract:

The flow of communication and the huge wave of information have created changes in people's interactions and relationships with each other, and this has led to differences in lifestyle and attitudes in the family. The aim of this study was to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze the digital family lifestyle in Tehran (with a futures research approach) and the theories of Giddens, Pierre Bourdieu and Jürgen Habermas were used.Research Method Due to the nature of this study, the combined method is sequential (qualitative (in-depth interview) - quantitative (descriptive-survey). A semi-structured interview and a questionnaire were used.The statistical population is a quantitative part of all citizens over 18 years old in 22 districts of Tehran and the statistical sample is 384 citizens over 18 years oldliving in districts 1 and 15 of Tehran in 1398. Using multi-stage cluster random sampling method and data collection tool questionnaire Researchers were studied.Based on the priority and importance from the experts' point of view, 4 family styles were developed, including: pseudo-media family, media family, unstable media family and chaotic media family. Based on the formed scenarios, a questionnairewas prepared and implemented in two districts 1 and 15 of Tehran.The results showed that the arrival of new communication technologies in Tehran will create different changes in family structure and lifestyle now and in the future. The scope of this change from the stage of marriage and choosing a spouse, continuity of family life, relationships between family members, society's attitude to the family institution, its functions, ideas of gender relations, divorce, gender ideas, creating new economic jobs, leisure, consumerism and It covers many issues.
