Mayer personal intelligence questionnaire, Rodriguez compassionate healthcare scale, Black moral agency test and demographic questionnaire were used for data collection. The data were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient, Bootstrap and Sobel test.

Results

The results indicated that responsibility, group pressure and external attribution with the role of personal intelligence are involved in explaining the models of compassionate healthcare in nurses working in the corona ward, in which case the variance of compassionate healthcare in nurses through variables of the model is explained by 19% in total. The direct effect of personal intelligence (0.18), responsibility (0.15), group pressure (-0.16) and external attribution (-0.17) were significant in estimating compassionate healthcare. Also, the results of the Sobel test showed that the indirect effects of responsibility (t-value = 2.17), group pressure (t-value = 2.46) and external attribution (t-value = 2.42) through personal intelligence on compassionate healthcare were significant.
