Abstract:

One of the signs of love stories is the existence of an obstacle, which covers most of these stories. In the present study, first one thousand and one nights were examined in terms of content, then twelve love stories were extracted. In such a way that it recounts the lyrical signs of other stories. In order to be able to generalize the research results to other love stories in addition to the stories of One Thousand and One Nights. The importance of this research is that the level of difficulty of the obstacles and how to overcome them, in addition to adding to the appeal of the story, reveals connection with other romantic signs such as betting, carpentry, deception, evil, etc. The results of this research, which has been done by descriptive method and content analysis based on Roland Barthes's semiotic theory shows that: 1- In one-sided loves, such as the story of two ministers, there is a small obstacle. 2- While in other stories like Hasan Basri, NoNesa, Badr Basem and Johari since the loved one is a fairy the barriers have high diversity and frequency
