Security implications of the Qarabagh crisis on the security of the Islamic Republic of Iran
The conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region has posed a threat to Iran as a neighboring country. This research seeks to investigate the consequences of the Qarabagh crisis on the security of the Islamic Republic of Iran through a descriptive-analytical method and collection of library documents. With a broad view of the issue of security and within the framework of the Copenhagen School, it can be stated that these threats include military, economic, social, environmental and political. The findings show that the Nagorno-Karabakh crisis poses a variety of threats due to the tense atmosphere near the Iranian border, and among the five security dimensions in terms of Israeli involvement and influence of terrorist groups in the region, military security is more prominent than other dimensions of security.
