Analysis of the Iranian Social Security Pension Legal System in the Light of Fundamental Human Rights
21st century society is facing a massive aging population, this feature along with other changes in the socio-economic environment such as increasing rural migration to cities and globalization has created serious challenges in the social security systems of many countries so that the growth of pension expenditures for The public sector has become a serious financial threat in some developing countries, and pension reform has become an inevitable necessity. Iran's social security pension system, like all designed pension systems, has shortcomings that must be addressed. To address these shortcomings, the principles of fundamental human rights must be used as an international standard. Because human rights, in addition to fundamental freedoms, include "the right to social security, which in a way includes economic and social rights (education, health care, employment and an adequate standard of living). In this article, the legal system of social security pension in Iran is reviewed from the legal point of view using analytical, descriptive research method and in comparison with the principles of fundamental human rights, and the necessary suggestions for its most important challenges and shortcomings are presented.
