Abstract:

The purpose of this research was identified barriers to the successof water users' cooperatives in Dashte Azadegan and Hoveyzeh Townships, Khuzestan Province, Iran. This research was an applied study and the research method was descriptive. Members of water users' cooperatives considered as statistical population. The sample size was 256 farmers based on Krejcie & Morgan table. After designing and validating the questionnaire, the questionnaire was pre-tested among 30 people and Cronbach alpha was determined between 0.711 to 0.851. The main tool was a questionnaire. All data processing and statistical analysis was performed using the software SPSS20. Based on the results of factor analysis the factors were categorized into four main components, which have been named infrastructure, economical, managerial and organizational, cultural and social factors.
