Islam and the modern world

The present article examines the place of religion in the modern age. The debate over whether modernism, modernity, science, progress, and rationalism require the exclusion of religion from the spheres of human life has been one of the most important and challenging issues for religious thinkers and secular intellectuals over the past few centuries. Some secular thinkers have made such claims. Discussion of the validity of this hypothesis, what the proponents of it have argued, and whether such a claim is scientifically and historically provable, and how this claim can be proven to be false are some of the issues that this article addresses. He has tried to address them.
