The role of immigration in the tendency to crime and deviance and providing prevention strategies, a case study: marginal areas of Karaj city
marginalization is an undeniable element of all large and modern cities in the world; Although its quantity and quality varies in different societies, in Iran, marginalization as a result of the excessive increase in immigration has high social problems and harms. The consequence of the expansion of rapid urbanization in Iran is the emergence of large cities and the creation of marginal neighborhoods with disorderly texture and abnormal housing, whose residents are usually rural migrants or low-income urban strata who engage in false and marginal jobs, which has adverse consequences for the social system. .
The method of this research is considered to be descriptive research of correlation type. The statistical population of the research includes all the marginal citizens of Karaj city and the sample size is estimated to be 384 people using Cochran's formula. The sampling method was done by random cluster method and hypothesis testing was done with correlation methods.
The findings from the experiment and the hypothesis analysis have shown that the components of the rate of theft with the correlation coefficient (r=0.363), turning to fake jobs with the correlation coefficient (r=0.493), the amount of conflict with the correlation coefficient (r=0.505), amount of moral corruption with the correlation coefficient (r=0.411) and the amount of alienation with the correlation coefficient (r=0.328) have a direct and significant relationship with the migration rate. As a result, the amount of migration in marginal areas while increasing the phenomenon of marginalization increases social damage.
