Abstract:

The main goal of this article is to study the perception of women around the urban space of Tehran. Therefore, this article has adopted a qualitative approach based on phenomenology to study the phenomenon of social exclusion of women in the urban space of Tehran, and for this purpose, 29 women between the ages of 20 and 45 living in Tehran were selected and interviewed based on the logic of purposeful sampling. done. The results of this research indicate that women face a lack of support in various fields in the society. In fact, they have faced issues such as lack of security in the city, lack of efficiency in urban facilities and equipment, lack of legal protection, lack of protection against social harm, lack of support system in the employment environment, lack of self-confidence and lack of family support. These cases have weakened and deprived women of their rights. On the other hand, with the exclusion of women from society, deprivation and social exclusion spreads to other social groups, and the capacity of women to improve the social status of society is lost.
