Designing an Organizational Retaliation Management Model With a theme Analysis Approach
Revenge is one of the workplace's destructive behaviours that can adversely affect individuals and organizations. This research aims to design a management model for organizational retaliation.
The research method is qualitative and thematic analysis. This research is of applied developmental type in terms of purpose, descriptive type in data collection, and exploratory type in data certainty.
125 internal and external sources were used to extract themes, and 576 primary codes, 140 basic themes, 29 organizing themes and nine overarching themes were identified. Finally, broad themes in practical factors, strategies, consequences and dimensions of organizational revenge shaped the research model.
The model extracted in this research as a comprehensive model of organizational revenge management that includes practical factors, strategies, consequences and dimensions of revenge management can be used as a tool and efficient method in general for familiarizing and more accurately measuring organizational revenge. In fact, with the help of this model, organizations can identify the causes of retaliatory behaviours in their organization and by using defined strategies, they can prevent the occurrence of these behaviours or minimize their destructive consequences.
