Abstract:
A Salafi refers to a group of Sunni Muslims who adhere to the religion of Islam and consider themselves followers of the righteous Salaf and in their actions and beliefs follow the Prophet of Islam, his companions and followers. The Salafis consider only the Qur'an and Sunnah as the sources of their rulings and decisions. Salafism has two main pillars: one is the return to the way of life and ideology of the righteous Salaf and finally the Sunnah of the Hijaz and especially the Sunnah of Medina 1400 years ago, and the second is the struggle against heresy, that is, everything that the Salafis consider new and contrary to tradition. Regarding Islam based on neo-Salafism, it should be acknowledged that neo-Salafism is based on new approaches in terms of principles and methods, and its emphasis is more on theological beliefs. And its founder is Ibn Taymiyyah Harrani. Now that the new Salafist current has come to power, a commitment to the former and traditional Salafist beliefs has undergone numerous changes and transformations. In a way that the neo-Salafis follow different methods in dealing with the theological and doctrinal ideas of the former Salafis.
