Abstract:
In this paper, the issue of controlling power and beam in phase array radars to minimize the probability of Interception and meet, the goal of the probability of detecting the targets. First, with an assumption, specified the direction of interceptor and unlimited power of radar elements, the problem of minimizing the probability of interception is formulated and solved by convex optimization method. In the following, assuming the existence of a constraint for every single element of a phased array radar, the solution of the optimization problem is analyzed and the sub-solution is presented for it. Then, in order to maintain the balance of the beam and to observe the condition of the power limit, the β beam coefficient vector is multiplied. According to the simulations, the null’s depth in the interceptor’s direction is about -270 dB.The results of simulations show that the proposed algorithms not only meet the probability of target detection probability but also minimize the probability of interception as compared to conventional methods.
