Military strategies to promote the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the geometry of military power in the West Asian region

The main purpose of this research activity was to achieve military defense strategies to improve the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the geometry of military power in the West Asian region, which we have discussed in the following summary. This research is of applied-development type which has been prepared by case-based research method and with a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative). The sample population of this study is 50 military experts in the field of strategy who have been purposefully selected. In this research; the method of data collection is library and field and their measurement tools are interview questions and questionnaires. Data analysis of this study was done by two methods descriptive (calculation of mean, median, extent and appearance of research information) and inferential (using improved Swot strategy) and Friedman ranking (to prioritize strategies). It is eminent that the Islamic Republic of Iran is in a defensive position in the military field and within the framework of defense power in the region; So it has both weaknesses and threats; therefore, it should seek to minimize the losses caused by its threats and weaknesses by making fundamental changes in the process of military activities, merging several organizations with each other, and etc.
