Oral History and Expression of the Sociological Approach of Imam Khomeini (MBUH) in Eight Years of Holy Defense

War is a set of factors that affect most aspects of society, altering them and resulting in new constructions and institutions. Different fields of science investigate war from different perspectives. Among these, the sociology of war studies the sociological analysis of the changes of constructions and institutions in the state of threat and under the shadow of war. With a comprehensive understanding of Islam and following the school of Islam and divine prophets, Imam Khomeini (MBUH) defined war from a religious point of view. The Imam's social thought was God-centered and religious and emphasized defending the privacy of the values of Islam and the Qur'an in such a way that at the top of the pyramid of his defense thought was the power of God, and at its base, people played a role as real soldiers defending the privacy of Muslims and the free people of the world. The present research, using the descriptive and analytical method and library sources, first seeks to find the sociological foundations of the Imam's (RA) thinking about war, considering the specific functional changes during the revolution and Holy Defense, and then examines the use of oral history in these cases. In this regard, the paper attempts to investigate the role of the Imam's words and messages in the eight years of Holy Defense, as the best source of the sociological aspects of war from his point of view.
