The aim of the present study was to explain the fit of the structural model of loneliness based on the quality of parent-child communication and object relationships with the mediation of narcissism in people with borderline personality tendencies. In this descriptive-correlational study, 556 people who referred to counseling centers and psychological services in Qom city in the period of 9 months from July to March 2019 with borderline personality tendencies were selected by purposive sampling and the loneliness questionnaires of Asher et al. (1984), scale Children's attitude towards their parents were completed by Hudson and Rapi (2001), Margolis and Thomas (1980) narcissism scale, Bell's object Relations Questionnaire (1995) and Kernberg and Clarkin's (1995) Personality Organization Questionnaire. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data and check the assumed research model. The results showed that the structural model of loneliness based on the quality of parent-child relationships, object relationships with the mediation of narcissism has a favorable fit (df / 2 = 4.82, CFI = 0.950, GFI = 0.962, AGFI = 0.916 And RMSEA = 0.084) And it indicated that the quality of parent-child relationships, object relationships and narcissism explain 64% of the variance of loneliness in people with borderline personality tendencies. It seems that the feeling of loneliness can be explained based on the intrapersonal component of the primary object relationships and the interpersonal component of the quality of communication with parents, both directly and through the mediation of narcissism.
