Citizenship rights in Nahj-ul-Balaghabased on sermon 216
In this study, which is based on a descriptive and analytical method, citizenship rights are a mix of duties and responsibilities of citizens toward one another, the city and the government or the ruling forces, as well as the rights and privileges that are the responsibility of city managers, government or in general the ruling forces. According to the teachings of Nahj al-Balaghah, the rights of the ruler or the government and the citizens are mutual. In the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran the rights of the nation are mentioned in 23 principles in which citizenship rights are considered by the legislator, and are divided into three categories: Civil and political rights- Economic, social and cultural rights- Judicial rights. The most important examples of these rights are based on the words of Imam Ali PBUH which can be used to determine the right to selfdetermination, political freedom, loyalty to the ruler as examples of civil and political rights and justice, education and attention to education as examples of economic, social and cultural rights. In the field of judicial law, the ruler must take action to enforce the rights of citizens by creating sound courts and take the necessary measures to establish the divine limits. Observance of civil rights can lead to the dignity and power of the Islamic system, the creation of justice in society, and so on and non-observance of the mentioned rights can have harmful effects.
