Investigating religious extremism in Afghanistan and Syria in the framework of international law and Russia's foreign policy strategy

One of the challenges of the international system (international organizations and norms as well as countries) in the Middle East region and specifically in Afghanistan and Syria is the spread of extremism (religious and ethnic, etc.). Although this issue can be investigated from different dimensions, the purpose of this research is to investigate this issue in Afghanistan and Syria within the framework of international law and Russia's foreign policy strategy. The main question of the article is how the issue of religious extremist groups and their actions as well as the way they are dealt with (states and transnational institutions) are viewed in international law and on the other hand in the foreign policy of Russia in the Middle East.
