Investigating the relationship (gender, birth order and education level) of social support with self-confidence of Sari city employees.
The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between social support and self-confidence, the effect of variables such as gender, birth order and education level of Sari city employees. It is a correlation research project. The statistical population of this research was made up of male and female employees of various organizations such as municipalities, banks, education and private companies, who were randomly selected. Based on the restrictions of the corona virus and the shifting of government bodies, according to Morgan's table, 148 people were selected from 250 people, and based on the incompleteness of a number of questionnaires, 110 people (50 women and 60 men) were selected as samples. The data collection tool in this research was Phillips' social support questionnaire (1986) and Chen and Yang's (2006) self-esteem questionnaire. In data analysis, correlation and regression were used with spss software.The results of this research showed that social support (family and other people) had a positive and significant relationship with self-confidence. Also, in the variables of gender (women), education (bachelor's degree) and birth rank (second children), there was a positive and significant relationship with people's self-belief.
