Abstract:
The Shia Twelvers defined the worshipping in two broad categories: 1- performing the religious acts like praying, fasting, taking the Haj pilgrimage and etc. 2- submission before a creature that is considered as God. The common denominator in these definitions is that the "mere submission" is not enough for worshipping. So, the Shia Twelvers do not consider an act worshipping if it is not done by the intention of "mere submission". All kinds of worshipping just like kneeling, circumambulation, sacrificing the animals and etc. must be done by "mere submission". On the contrary, the Wahhabi defines the worshipping as "mere submission" without the intention of the doer, whether he consider this being as God or not. considering this point, they think that if we submit to others or do some acts without the worshipping intention, it is worshipping. We must bear in mind that the essence of worshipping is intention and what separate the worshipping act from non-worshipping act is intention. Our Holy prophet says: "Acts are judged by the intention".
