A Comparative Analysis of the Concept of Self – Compassion and Self-Efficacy Among People with or without Cosmic Surgery

The aim of this study was to determine the difference between self-compassion and self-efficacy in people with and without cosmetic surgery. The method of the present study was causal-comparative. The statistical population of the present study included all female students with cosmetic surgery and without cosmetic surgery in Tonekabon Azad University in the second semester of 2019-2020, of which 50 students with cosmetic surgery and 50 students without cosmetic surgery using the method. Available sampling was selected as the research sample. The research instruments included: Self-Compassion Questionnaire et al. (2003), General Self-Efficacy Questionnaire (GSES) Scherer et al. (1982). The results of multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) showed that there is a significant difference between people with cosmetic surgery and people without cosmetic surgery in the variables of body image, self-compassion and self-efficacy. Higher than people with cosmetic surgery. As a result, the hypotheses of this study were confirmed and there was a significant difference between people with cosmetic surgery and without cosmetic surgery.
