Women’s Role in New Islamic Civilization with an Emphasis on the Holy Quran and the Supreme Leader’s View
One of the most important issues that has always been considered in the history of Islam is Islamic civilization and it has been known among Muslims as one of the most significant services of Islam to human societies. The Prophet Mohammad, the founder of Islamic civilization, has done many activities to provide a proper context for its foundation. Over different ages, Muslim women have played an impressive role in developing civilization following the Prophet Mohammad. The leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran believes in women’s strategic role in new Islamic civilization. He has well drawn a roadmap for women based on the Quranic teachings. Given the importance of women’s role in new Islamic civilization, this study attempts to identify women’s role in new Islamic civilization using a library research method. The results showed that women have an effective role in all family, social, and individual dimensions of civilization, and there are the following solutions in the Holy Quran and the Supreme Leader’s sayings: the improvement of women’s role concerning family, women’s more attention to their Jihadi role in spousal duties to develop Islamic civilization, the importance of women’s role as mothers in educating the civilizing generations, the presence of women in social activities more actively and effectively as a civilizing factor, and the understanding of women’s personal dimensions to have better effect and achieve their role better.
