Agri-food supply chain strategies during the corona and post-corona era: SWOT analysis
The agri-food industry has a significant value as the main driver for economic growth and poverty reduction in many countries. Many economic, social and environmental components are involved in the optimal functioning of the supply chain of agricultural and food products. As one of these factors, the corona epidemic has led the agri-food systems to several challenges that must be addressed if the disease period continues or ends. In this perspective, achieving the strategies of the agri-food supply chain in the post-corona era is of special importance. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze the impact of the corona epidemic on the supply chain of agri-food products and to provide strategies based on SWOT analysis in order to minimize the consequences of this disease in the post-corona era. In this study, the required information was obtained through a comprehensive literature review, including strategic documents, scientific journals, and data from the Food and Agriculture Organization. Based on the results of the Corona epidemic, it has had a significant direct and indirect effect on the supply and demand of agricultural products, as well as food insecurity, and this study has presented strategies to face these challenges.
