Analyzing the dimensions of economic sanctions in line with managing its effects on the health system by thematic analysis method
Health is one of the fundamental needs of every society, so governments consider improving the quality of health and medical services as one of their main duties. This research tries to identify the effect of these sanctions on the health system in order to manage the effects of cruel sanctions against the Islamic Republic. The current research is practical in terms of its purpose and qualitative approach and thematic analysis method are used in it. In order to collect data, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 15 experts and practitioners of the health system, while using the library studies method. The research data were analyzed with the "Brown and Clark" model, which after the coding process; The results in seven dimensions include the negative impact of sanctions on "community mental health", "prevention and public health", "supply of medicine, treatment and medical and diagnostic equipment", "reduction in infrastructure development and expansion capacity", "prosperity of the beneficiaries of sanctions and normalization". Professional immorality", "Negative impact on revenue generation of the medical industry" and "Negative impact of sanctions on the human capital of the health system" were calculated, and the last three dimensions were identified for the first time in Iran's sanctions literature.
