Designing a model for talent management capabilities for Duty Soldiers of I.R. Iran Armed Forces
Companies and organizations must pay attention to latent talents for survival; i.e., they should Identify them, nurture them, develop their skills and employ them in the right place. Because in the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, many young people are sent to perform the holy military service every year and they are often talented. Therefore, proper planning should be done to flourish and properly manage these talents. This research was conducted with the aim of designing and explaining the model of talent management capabilities in the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This study is qualitative and exploratory in nature. The participants of this research are a group of commanders and senior training officers of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran; Data collection was done through interviews with experts and these interviews continued until theoretical saturation was reached. Finally, by conducting 32 interviews, theoretical saturation happened.
Based on expert interviews conducted with experts and using the grounded theory model, 35 main components and 164 primary codes were identified in the field of talent management among the soldiers employees of the Islamic Republic of Iran Armed Forces.
The findings and model obtained in this research show that the correct management of talent, in addition to the personal and psychological growth of the soldier, can become the basis for the dynamism of the soldiers and the cultivation of a skill-oriented generation in the society, and its positive results are not only for the soldier, but also for the organization and the military body. And it will lead to the emergence of a positive image of the youth towards the sacred matter of military service.
