Abstract:

Natural gas is now the largest source of energy in the international community and Iran has the largest natural gas reservoirs in the world. The development of gas networks has covered 98% of the urban population and more than 85% of the rural population of Iran. On the other hand, the exporting and conversion of natural gas into petrochemical products, electricity generation and use for industrial, can play a big role in the Iranian economics. Despite the daily production of more than 800 million cubic meters of gas in the country, one of the problems of winter is the high consumption of resedential gas in Iran. In this research,we are looking for an answer to why Iranian joushoulds consume this anount of gas. By using the Grounded Theory method and interviews with experts)purposive sampling & snowball sampling),the model is provided by Atlas ti software.Based on the identification of important and influencing factor on residential gas consumption in Iran,a strategic model of optimal gas consumption in Iranian househoulds is presented.
