The mediating role of responsibility in the relationship between educational climate and desire for education of primary school students in Sarchahan
The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating role of responsibility in the relationship between educational atmosphere and students' enthusiasm for education.
This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlational in terms of method. The statistical population of this study consists of primary school students in Sarchahan city, whose number was equal to 2189. To determine the sample size, 173 people were selected using the staged cluster sampling method and they were assessed through Friedel and Paris academic motivation questionnaire, Nemati responsibility questionnaire and educational atmosphere questionnaire of Ruff et al. At the level of descriptive statistics, mean and standard deviation and at the level of inferential statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient and simple linear regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis of Baron and Kenny were used.
The results indicated that the educational atmosphere is able to predict students 'responsibility; academic enthusiasm is able to predict students' responsibility and responsibility plays a significant mediating role between the educational atmosphere and the enthusiasm for education.
